I have just read that heated (cooked) green banana/flour lose the beneficial resistance. It would be great if you could make that very clear so that people like myself don’t think that eating banana flour cupcakes is adding resistant starch to our diet even though is does make yummy cupcakes!

Hey Virginia, thanks for your comment. Once resistant starch is cooled after cooking, it reforms back into it’s original state. Meaning you are still getting the exact benefits you were getting before it had been heated. Banana flour is still incredibly good for you once it has been heated and cooled. I hope this helps. – Natural Evolution

Diane McIntosh says
Hi, I was wondering why you have to let the Resistant Starch sit for a few minutes before consuming? Also if I have smoothies for breakfast, can I add it to the smoothies before I blitz it in the Nutribullet or should I add it after the smoothies has been blitzed?
Leo Test says
Hey Diane,
Thank you for your comment. It’s best to let the Resistant Starch sit for a few minutes if you’re taking it just in water/juice as it can absorb some of the water, making it less grainy to swallow. In smoothies, I would recommend adding it before you blitz, just to mix it in really well! I hope this helps, please send me an email if you need any further assistance. Kind regards,

Saw the segment on Landline.
I am an old gardener and years ago discovered that cutting up banana skins around the base of rose does wonders for them. Potassium?
Is it worth exploring another use for a discarded part of the plant.
Just an idea
Cheers.
